Relationship Between the Motivation of Work with the Use of Personal Protective Equipment on Construction Workers at PT Wika Gedung Depok in the Year of 2018.

Abstract
Personal Protective Equipment is a device that has an ability to protect a person with function is to isolate a part or all of the body from potential hazards at the workplace. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of work motivation with the use of personal protective equipment on construction workers at PT. Wika Gedung Depok. This study is descriptive with quantitative approach using the Cross Sectional data collection method and questionnaire. Population in this study is construction workers at PT. Wika Gedung Depok. The method used in sampling is an accident sampling many 60 workers. The data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate (using a Fisher alternative test with α=0,05). The results showed a high of work motivation is (n=34), and low of work motivation is (n=26). The proper use of personal protective equipment is (n=42), and the improper use of personal protective equipment is (n=18). There is a significant relationship between work motivation and the use of personal protective equipment (P-value <0.05), means that the work motivation affects the use of personal protective equipment to the workers. From this study can be concluded that the work motivation with the use of personal protective equipment will lead to an urge to do something good that comes from within and the outside of the workers.
