The Relationship of The Use of Gadgets with Student’s Sleep Disorder in STIKES Persada Husada Indonesia

Abstract
The gadget has played an important role in human life. According to Ministry of Education and Information, there’s 240 million gadgets owned by 67% people in Indonesia. Many studies have shown that the use of the gadget before sleep has negative effects. The existence of electronic media in the bedroom and the use of electronic media influences sleep pattern, sleep duration and causes sleep disorders among users. To determine the relationship of theuse of gadgets on the sleep patterns disorder among students of STIKes Persada Husada Indonesia. This is a quantitative analytical study using corelative design. This study was conducted at STIKes Persada Husada Indonesia started from July until August 2020. The data was collected from 69 students by distributing quetionnaires to students and was analyzed using chi-square. The study shows a significant relationship between the use of gadgets to gender, time on using gadgets in a day and the duration of using the gadget before going to sleep at a significance level of 5%, but there is no relationship berween the use of gadget to number of gadgets.
