Lupus is a chronic disease attacking the human immune system. People with lupus are called Odapus. Physical changes and psychological problems are the impact of lupus disease. Therefore, knowledge of lupus disease and social support from those closest people have an important role in Odapus social interaction in society. This research aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge of lupus disease and social support from those closest people to Odapus social interaction in society. This research was quantitative correlative descriptive research with cross-sectional design. The sampling technique was used consecutive sampling, all 77 participants are Odapus in X Hospital, Jakarta, and Y Hospital, Bandung. The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge of lupus disease and Odapus social interaction in society (p=0,05, α=0,05). Otherwise, there was no relationship between social support from those closest people and Odapus social interaction in the society (p=0,244; α=0,05). This research suggests nurses as health professionals to provide information about lupus to Odapus and those closest people. So they can provide social support to Odapus. In the end, Odapus can interact with others in society. Beside that, this research can be used as supporting data to accomplish the next research about lupus.
