Abstract

Infancy is a golden period in a child's growth and development, so it requires optimal attention and affection. One important aspect that plays a major role in supporting the growth and development process is adequate rest time and sleep quality, especially at the age of 0-6 months which is known as the golden age of central nervous system development. Baby massage is also known as stimulus touch or touch therapy is known as one of the effective non-pharmacological interventions to improve sleep quality. This baby massage technique stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, which plays a role in creating relaxation and improving sleep quality. Several recent studies have shown that the use of baby massage with lavender essential oil can increase the duration and quality of infant sleep. This research was conducted at the Pal Lima Health Center. The type of research used is quantitative with a pre-experimental research design using One - Group Pretest-Posttest Design.
