Abstract
Congestive heart failure is a heart function disorder that fails to pump blood for the needs of the body's cells (Nurlaela, 2017). The general objective of this research is to determine the description of nursing care for patients who experience ineffective breathing patterns with Congestive Heart Failure at RSUD dr. Chasbullah Abdulmadjid Bekasi City. The research design used was a qualitative descriptive case study approach with the intervention of oxygen therapy and semi-Fowler position. Based on data obtained from the Tulip Room at RSUD dr. Chasbullah Abdulmadjid Bekasi City from January to March 2023 reached 52 patients. Participants in this study were 2 patients and their families and 1 nurse. Data collection time is April, 10-14 2023. As a result of the assessment, the patient complained of shortness of breath, swelling in the extremities, difficulty sleeping and fatigue quickly. The results of the assessment found that there were 4 nursing diagnoses for Mr. S and 5 nursing diagnoses for Mr. E. The nursing diagnoses that were the focus of this research were ineffective breathing patterns related to hyperventilation. At the planning stage, the author sets goals, outcome criteria and interventions with a time criteria of 3x24 hours. During the implementation, monitor breathing patterns, monitor frequency with results of 20x/minute, provide oxygen therapy at 4 liters/minute, and provide a semi-Fowler position. At the evaluation stage of Mr. S and five diagnoses Mr. E has been resolved according to the outcome criteria. The conclusion is that the action of providing oxygen therapy and setting the semi-fowler position is effective in overcoming nursing problems with ineffective breathing patterns. Suggestions for future researchers can provide further information, so as to expand knowledge about congestive heart failure.
